The owner has over 8 years of database architecture development and programming along with a Bachelor's in Architectural Design from Florida
Atlantic University. Yes, architecture. You might ask how you get from architecture to custom software, but while it seems odd, that architectural
training manifests itself throughout the "planning" of a website. "I have found that both architectural design and software development have a lot
of common: both pay very close attention to details during development and each "phase" must be completed in a specific order to culminate even the

What makes your development firm different that others?
What makes us most different is the way we approach each solution. We aren't here to tell you we have every solution. While we love writing
custom software, there is an abundance of out-of-box competition out there. Our difference is to step in when those out-of-the-box solutions
have either been out grown, become obsolete or are missing features unique to the individual or business. If you can't find it on a shelf in
your local big box store and you can't find the SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) solution on the World Wide Web -- that's where we come in.
Are your solutions better than those out-of-the-box?
Better isn’t the right word. Our solutions are just built more towards the "individual" rather than the "masses".
They aren't any better or worse than an out-of-the-box solution, ours simply cut through the "fluff" to address your needs in a manner
that best works for you, your staff and/or business model. Some of your most used software probably does things or has features you haven’t even
found the need for, but you still paid for them. Out-of-the-box solutions lack specific attention to the individual or business. It can have features
that make the physical box look great but are things you may never use. When we develop software, we make it for your business and your needs.
We don't need to resell hundreds of thousands of copies like out-of-the-box software developers.
Where does the company name come from?
On a trip to Aruba in 2006, I was checking in at the hotel - where I almost always hear the same joke - "Are you related to the Mexican
revolutionary?" However, I was surprised to hear the clerk say, "Did you know that 'zapata' means footing?" Initially, I thought it was neat
that my name had something to do with architecture (I was majoring in it at the time). "Zapata Data" can essentially be translated to "foundation data"
or "foundation for your data". We organize incoming/existing information to develop a strong "foundation" for you to "build" your business from the
bottom line, up.
